Super Bowl Broadcast Compound |
The Challenge
Super Bowl XXXVIII, held February 1, 2004 at the Reliant Stadium in
Houston Texas required a tremendous amount of broadcast-quality power
generation. Not only was the Super Bowl attended by over 70,000, it was
the most-watched Super Bowl in history - viewed by an estimated 143.6
million fans.
Our Solution
Two weeks before the big event, staff from Signature Special Event
Services moved in and began setting up. Equipment was needed to generate
more than two megawatts of power along with thousands of feet of power
cable. Redundant power systems were in place to ensure that 24-hour,
non-interrupted power would be provided. Full-time technicians were
on-site and in position to assist with any need that might arise.
Results
On game day, eighteen television broadcast trucks were powered,
allowing fans around the world to enjoy the Super Bowl broadcast.
Signature Special Event Services was trusted to power one of the largest
broadcasts in the world, without a doubt we can be trusted to power your
event.
