Signature Special Events Services Providing Multiple Venues for 55th Presidential Inauguration
FREDERICK, MD, Jan. 18, 2005 – When the Inauguration of George W. Bush
as President takes place this week, the celebrations will be intense – with some
of them actually “in tents” – thanks to Signature Special Event Services (www.EventServices.com.)
“Signature, North America’s leading full-service event rental company, will
cover over 140,000-square feet of space with tenting and flooring – the
equivalent of more than three and a half football fields – in three locations,”
said Tom Brown, the company’s president. The locations will be on the
world-famous Mall, at the Pentagon, and The Ellipse.
Additional services provided by Signature for the Inauguration include:
– more than 10 million BTUs of heat, enough warmth for more than 1,000
average-size homes;
– 1 Megawatt of generator power, enough electricity for run two entire city
blocks, and
– 24,000-plus feet of electrical cable, enough to run from the White House to
the Capitol, then back to the White House again.
Exceptionally Proud to Participate
Signature’s Brown said he and his company were “exceptionally proud to
participate. Visitors from throughout the U.S. and the world will be in
Washington for the Inauguration, and getting to provide venues for events of
this magnitude is extremely fulfilling. Signature’s effort combines the
capabilities of our special event staff and our newly-formed Government and
Military Services Division,” he said, “as we work for and with the leaders of
the Inauguration.”
Salute from Congressman Bartlett
Signature’s efforts in providing venues for the Inauguration were saluted by
Congressman Roscoe G. Bartlett, who was recently re-elected to his seventh term
from Maryland’s Sixth District.
“Signature Special Event Services is from my hometown of Frederick,” said Rep.
Bartlett, “I take particular pride in saluting the company and its president,
Tom Brown, for having built an excellent reputation as a leader in its field.
Signature has been involved in some very important work, including providing
facilities for the massive clean-up in Florida and the Southeast after the
hurricanes last summer, and providing temporary housing and facilities for
troops in military training throughout the U.S. As the Congressman from the
district where Signature is headquartered, it is a pleasure to call attention to
the outstanding efforts of a company from our community.”
